Well, I told you I would be posting about a review from CSN. For $20 (including shipping) I chose to review the

I know we are past the sugar cookie making season, but I did have

some left over mixes I

needed to use and making cookies is a favorite activity for my

boys.

Since our original

rolling pin was lost in our move, I thought now would be a perfect time to get a new one. I ordered it and received it quickly from CSN without issue. The pin itself is nice and heavy to help weigh down the dough. It was smooth and rolled nicely. Even washing it was easy as the dough which was stuck on the pin came off easily with soap and water. I love it! Now Im just waiting for spring and early summer berries so I can make some pies!

Here are my three most favorite men! We are all getting excited for someone to come visit... Grandma Buki!!!! She has her interview with the US embassy for a visa in the first week of October. We really hope they will let her come and visit!We have been working hard to get things ready for her visit. When we first moved to our house two and a half months ago our guest room looked like this...
but now check it out... Liam sometimes calls it Daddy's room (I joke and say yes, Daddy can sleep in here if he gets in trouble), and then sometimes he says it is Grandma Buki's room. We are praying hard that the embassy will let her come and be our first guest! What do you think of the changes we made in this room??

Liam's First Haircut

It took us almost 2.5 years to do it, to get that first haircut, but it has been done. At first Liam was a bit scared...He had a death grip on my arm...
But he soon warmed up to the idea (Disney Pixar Car's was on the TV and that provided good distraction!)
And he got to walk out of there all nice and evened out on top and a balloon in his hands! An official big boy!

My husband can not start out the day if he does not have a hot cup of tea with milk and LOTS of sugar. But with so much going on in the mornings he will often turn on the stove to heat his water and forget about it. I choose the Kitchenaid gourmet soft tea kettle which has a wonderful feature of a high pitch whistle when the water is good and hot.

Now I have always been a fan of Kitchenaid products and this one has not failed me yet! (and I don't expect it to!). The water seemed to heat up quickly and the whistle began. Even my two year old started to jump around and to run to go get Daddy to tell him he could finish making his tea.

If everything goes as planned, we will have keys to our first home by the end of the month!!! (So pray that there are no issues that come up because we are SO ready to have our own place... despite the fear of all the work that will need to be done on it!) Perhaps some of you will show up to help paint, re-carpet, patch and mend, cut grass, do electrical work, clean... you name it! One of the projects on my list will be for the boy's room. There is no lighting at all in the room except for one window. So someone will have to do some wiring in the attic and perhaps even the walls??? I will leave that to someone with more experience. I on the other hand will have the fun job of picking out what KIND of lighting I want to see in there. There are so many choices available. Do we go with a ceiling fan, a chandelier, wall lights, track lighting, LED lighting... who knows!

Potty Training can be messy work. Today was day one of a three day program that we are trying out with Liam. I must say that I think he is doing a great job so far. Maybe 50% of the time he is able to go in the potty and not in his pants. And EVERY time he has gone in his pants, he is the one who tells me...so I know that HE knows he has gone pee. Hopefully we can make even more progress tomorrow!

As for Liam's ears. He saw the ENT and they said his ear infection has finally cleared up, but because he has had so many infections in the past year, they are going to put in tubes in May anyway. They also said that from the looks of how he is developing, he will probably need to have his tonsils and adnoids removed... probably when the tubes fall out.... so when he is 3 or 4.

I know its not Easter yet, but we are busy preparing for it. Yesterday we went to see the Easter Bunny to make sure he knew where we lived so that he could come on Easter Sunday if Liam goes to sleep like he is supposed to. Liam liked the Easter Bunny and even gave him a kiss.Liam then got to go on an Easter Egg hunt with some of his girlfriends from the neighborhood.

We went to MI last weekend and took a trip to the beach. It was so much fun. Here are the boys at the table.Daddy wrote a special message in the sand for momma.
It was kind of windy and the umbrella kept blowing away and daddy had to chase after it and bring it back. But mommy got some good photos of daddy.

Sorry we have not updated. I have been busy as a single mom for the past couple of weeks. I do have a greater appreciation for single parents! But I am SOOOO glad that Daddy came home safe last night. I can't wait to hear all his stories from his trip to Congo and hear how is family is. We did get to talk briefly but he was so tired he fell straight asleep and would not even wake up for dinner! Liam seems very happy to have his Daddy back too. Hopefully we can put some pictures and stories up from Flory's trip soon.

Mama got a new job so I wont be playing with my friends Joey or Jenna as much. On our last day together they took me to my first movie theatre visit to see Kung Fu Panda. I fell asleep half way thru though. My dog, Brody, came with too. I love Brody.

I am not a doll, but i do love sitting in the doll stroller and have Jenna push me around... but dont get too close or I will push you away!

Joey loves to pick me up and make me laugh, but I love to squirm too.

Liam is getting fast these days. And we love watching him learn and discover new things. Just tonight he was having a grand ol time spinning in circles and then falling on the floor. We are also starting to adjust to the new diet. We miss things every once in awhile and then he starts coughing again. but we are getting better and instead of daily nebulizer treatments, they are maybe once a week now! Here is Liam's first non-dairy, egg free pizza. He LOVED it. The bacon cheese was his fav, cheese was good too, not a big fan of the veggie pizza though. I made them on corn tortillas with a dairy free mozzerella, it sorta feels like tofu... but looks impressive, don't you think?Don't turn your back for a minute. Here is Harley, surrounded by an empty box of ziploc bags and all the bags scattered on the floor. and no, it was not the dog who took them out of the cabinet...

Uncle Daniel and Aunt Kim's wedding

Random photos from a busy, fun and beautiful day. Key things that will be memorable forever...

1. Liam didnt want to wait in the pew and had Mommy hold him up front for a while until he decided to get down and examine the flowers on the floor. Aunt Tracey then took him out when he took a quick nap.

2. The flower girl finished her job and then stood in her spot, changed her mind and went back to add more flowers. cute.

3. the unity candle was successfully lit - twice.

4. the bride choose beautiful table center pieces at the reception with candles, which came in handy while eating dinner in the dark. a quick storm came thru and took out the power for at least 45 min.

5. due to power issues, the first dance was done twice- once by violins, and then redone with their song when the power came back.

6. Uncle Matt's best man speech ended with "May the wind be at your back, the sun shine on your face and the ups and downs between the sheets." He is always full of jokes!

This is the same church where Mommy and Daddy got married. Such a beautiful service. There were tears in both the bride AND groom's eyes.
Here is Liam checking out the flowers. Note the nice yellow ball he held in his hands the whole time. A lot better then the bright pink shopping cart he was pushing around earlier.
Daddy snaped this one. He thought it was going to be a terrible photo, but I think it turned out quite nice!

Just wanted to say hi. I don't really say hi, but if you are lucky you can hear me say the first word I know how to say and understand. Just ask me what's for lunch and I will say "lunch".

Daddy got me dressed today, don't you think he did a good job!

Don't tell anyone I'm on the computer, I'm not supposed to touch it, but I have to update my blog somehow!I found the keys! Lets go for a drive!
I love my pancakes with peanut butter and yogurt!
I snuck into Mommy and Daddy's bed at night. Amazing how someone as little as me can push Daddy off the bed!

And fresh chocolate chip cookies and wheelbarrows... it can't get better then this!

The Big City

Friday we went downtown to ask some questions at the Immigration office, so we also got to walk around the big city a little bit. I got to see the Buckingham Fountain. It was SO big!

Here I am pointing at it with Daddy.

The buildings were SO big too, and I loved watching all the cars and people go by.

It was pretty exhausting though. On the way home I had a whole bag of smart puffs all to myself.They were SO good, you can see I have smart puff dust ALL over my head, hair, lips, neck, arms, clothes, chair... EVERYWHERE!

Then in church this morning all the kids sang a song and I tried to help out. I just love music!

An ode to life.

This week Grandma had a birthday. She turned 50! We had a lot of fun celebrating with her!
The cake was yummy and the balloons were a lot of fun even if Mommy would not let me eat them.
Like my new shoes?
I love water. I love water bowls. I like splashing. I like being wet, even if it means that mommy has to change my clothes 5x a day. Water is life.
and friends. I was so glad to see Aunt Kelsey. She let me drive her car AND she played bubbles with me and made me laugh even though I was sick.
Isn't life great???

Liam's night out

Friday he had a runny nose. Saturday he woke up with a cough and throughout the day his breathing got harder and heavier. So around 7pm we took him to the ER to be checked out. They have him a nebulizer and did an xray that came back clear, but his breathing had not improved very much so they admitted him for the night. By noon on Sunday his breathing was better so they sent us home and told us to see our pedi on monday. Our pedi said it was probably just a virial infection, but that he also has a double ear infection, so Liam is on some antibiotics now and hopefully he will be better soon.Yes I am wearing a diaper on my arm...If I can't see an IV line, then I don't know it is there...

I think im starting to feel better, can we go home now??? Playing in bed.

Anyone want some extra O2? Makes ya smile! :)

Ever since mommy and daddy brought me home from the hosptial Uncle Matt has been trying to teach me to say one word. Well, I finially did it. In the middle of Uncle Daniel and Aunt Kim's bridal shower, when they were opening the gifts and the room was really quiet. I said my first word (aside from mamamamama, dadadadadadada, and uh-oh).... I said, "boob, boob, boob"

We took all these photos today... can you believe he is sick? He is starting a cold and has had a fever, but it was SO nice outside today, all he wanted to do was play. He would get upset if we made him come inside. Here pulling on the hose, little drops of water would fall on his head.Life is good when your driving a Saab. He gets SO upset when it is time to get out of the car. He can already crawl into the car if the door is open all by himself.
